Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in TV and film is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. When she was sixteen, she had landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. The critically acclaimed character she played in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, for the film Downfall. It was nominated for an Oscar and won critical acclaim. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this model. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous significant international and local projects. The most notable of these include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French history mini-series Napoleon in addition to other projects. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and was also a juror at Cannes Film Festival.
