Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress famous for her performance in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her professional career in the show business at an early age. By the time she reached the age of 16, Alexandra had landed the leading roles in numerous television dramas. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall, her role as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also a critically-acclaimed one. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra has been involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, the Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical mini-series Napoleon. Additionally, she was an active member of The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
